Dance video

Photographing dance is a passion for me, and as I move further into video production it makes all the sense in the world to explore one of my favorite subjects through motion.

Recently, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the talented dancer and choreographer Kevin Gaël Thomas and dancer Sara VanderVoort, both from Colorado Ballet, on When the Light Comes.  It was a great afternoon directing and shooting these energetic and powerful artists, and there's no doubt that I'll be looking for more opportunities to build on the experience soon.

Huge thanks to co-director and cinematographer Edward Done, cameraman Lowel Pierce and Niko Van Steenhoven who wrote the music and edited the film.

And of course, a tip of the hat to Colorado Ballet Artistic Director Gil Boggs, who generously provided the black box theatre for the shoot.
